Meet Afterglow Wax Co
I’m Angie Hart Hickey, the heart (and nose) behind Afterglow Wax Co. What started as a small experiment quickly turned into a passion project blending music, memories, and scent — three things that make life a little brighter.
After years of burning commercial scented candles from the big box stores that would cause headaches, make my dogs sneeze, and create excess soot, I decided it was time to make my own! My goal was pretty simple - to create more natural, phthalate-free, and eco-friendly home fragrance products that smell amazing, spark a feeling, and tell a story.
Music has always been the heartbeat of my creativity. It connects us, heals us, and brings us back to the moments that matter most. Paired with a love for giving back to the community, that rhythm became the very soul of Afterglow Wax Co.
With the help of my nieces, sisters, mom, and friends, I’m proud to hand-pour every candle, wax melt, and room spray right here in St. Louis! Every pour is full of love, good vibes, and a familiar melody!

Our glass jar containers are designed for upcycling and reuse once your favorite candle has finished burning. All candles and wax melts are created with100% natural soy wax and phthalate-free fragrance oils, infused safely with essential oils. Our fragrance oils are also chosen carefully to avoid carcinogens, toxins and other hazardous materials found in some commercially sold candles. Our ECO cotton wicks are lead and zinc-free, and are specifically made for soy wax.
